Are you passionate about military aviation and flight simulation? The Virtual Royal Netherlands Air Force (vRNLAF) offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of military flying and controlling on the VATSIM network. We strive for the highest level of professionalism, using real-world (where possible and unclassified) procedures to create a realistic and structured environment.

As a member of the vRNLAF, you’ll train and fly alongside like-minded enthusiasts, improving your skills in both virtual piloting and air traffic control. Whether you're executing complex missions, participating in international exercises, or mastering formation flying, you'll experience the thrill of military operations from the comfort of your home simulator.

  • Have a valid VATSIM CID
  • Have a discord account
  • We are a PC only organisation and are not able to accept Xbox users
  • Able to understand and read Dutch and English
  • A good working knowledge of a supported simulator
  • Mature attitude
  • Own a working microphone for use with Discord and VATSIM.

Registration Process

  1. Create an Application

    First we want to know a little bit more about your experience within flight sim. So we ask you to fill in a simple application.

  2. Connect Discord

    In order to be contacted and contact staff you will need to link your discord account to your account. This will also join our discord server.

  3. Staff Review

    The staff will have a look at your application and contact you for the next step via Discord.

  4. Interview and Introduction Flight

    You will schedule an interview and introduction flight with a staff member. Here you will receive information about the organisation and get to know the structure and training program better.

  5. Start Training

    Now you can start with our EMVO training! After the EMVO section you will get to choose what aircraft type you will learn next.
